Blackstone India operations have expanded with a new global capability center in Bengaluru, the firm said in a statement disclosed on October 27, 2026. The office will support its worldwide businesses, including private wealth and credit and insurance, while the India investment team will remain in Mumbai.

Blackstone India center will support global businesses

Susan Yung, a senior managing director on Blackstone’s Credit & Insurance Investment Operations team, has relocated to Bengaluru and will oversee the center. The office is on a campus that also houses other global finance and technology companies.

The expansion adds operational capacity in India rather than relocating the firm’s India investment team. Bengaluru’s role is to support businesses around the world, distinct from the investment activities that will continue at Blackstone’s Mumbai headquarters.

A broader commitment to India

Blackstone’s Mumbai office listing identifies Blackstone Advisors and Blackstone Fund Solutions at Express Towers in Nariman Point. That existing presence forms part of the firm’s wider Indian footprint.

The New York-based investment firm has $1.37 trillion in assets under management globally and more than $50 billion in India. It has helped launch five of India’s six listed real estate investment trusts and taken 14 portfolio companies public in the country.

Chief Financial Officer Michael Chae said the expansion reaffirmed Blackstone’s long-term commitment to India, where it has invested for more than two decades. The firm joins KKR and Apollo Global Management in expanding Indian operations to support global businesses.
