Hycroft Mining advances exploration

In its October 27 update, Hycroft said drilling at the Brimstone and Vortex silver systems continued to demonstrate high-grade growth. The company plans to keep drilling both areas.

The company said it had recorded more than 1.5 million work hours without a lost-time incident and a total recordable injury frequency rate of 0.86. It also said it had filed its quarterly report on Form 10-Q.

Processing studies and project design

Hycroft said conceptual design work for a high-grade underground mine and processing facility was substantially complete. The work, conducted with RESPEC and Hatch, is planned for inclusion in project optimization in 2027.

A study comparing roasting with pressure oxidation processing is being finalized in the fourth quarter of 2026. Separately, heap leach metallurgical testing is underway and expected to finish in the first half of 2027.

Leadership changes

Hycroft appointed Michael Deal as chief operating officer and added four independent directors to its board.

Chief Financial Officer Stan Rideout is scheduled to become executive vice president, strategic advisor, on March 16, 2027. David Thomas, most recently senior vice president for corporate affairs and sustainability, is set to retire on April 30, 2027, and remain a consultant.

Next milestone

The next announced project milestone is the expected release of the processing-method study results in the first quarter of 2027.
