IPX Exchange plans to launch on November 15, 2026, alongside the IPXOS operating system and the $IPX token. The proposed creator-focused platform follows a $4 million seed funding round announced by IPX on October 15 at a $125 million valuation.
Key Takeaways
- Bitsurge Holdings led the seed round, with participation from YICIPX Holdings Family Office and other investors.
- The platform is designed to raise production funds in USDC and enable trading in project tokens against $IPX.
- Project tokens do not automatically confer copyright or ownership, and planned features should not be confused with services already available.
What IPX Exchange plans to offer
Built on the Base blockchain, the planned exchange aims to help creators fund and monetize intellectual property through project tokens, alongside AI-assisted production, distribution, advertising and sponsorship tools.
IPX identified films and television series, athlete-backed video games and YouTube creator membership tokens as planned initial offerings. It said more than 100 celebrities had signed exclusive agreements to tokenize original intellectual property, but not all announced projects are available to users.
The November 15 date is a proposed launch, not confirmation that the exchange and its services are already live.
How project funding and tokens would work
Creators would set a production budget in USDC. Once a project meets funding and liquidity requirements, its raise would close and its token could begin trading against $IPX. Production funds are intended to remain in escrow and be released as approved milestones are completed.
The platform’s October 2026 whitepaper specifies a cashout fee equal to 10% of the stated production budget at that transition, known as graduation. It also specifies a 0.5% fee on routed transactions.
A project token’s rights depend on its terms: it may offer access, membership benefits or revenue participation, but tokenization alone does not transfer copyright or ownership. The $IPX token carries no equity stake or governance vote.
Staking and project risks
The $IPX supply was created on September 23, 2026, with a fixed total of 1 billion tokens and no mint or burn function. A fixed supply does not guarantee that the token’s price will rise.
Eligible staking distributions are variable and depend on actual protocol revenue and applicable terms. Project tokens could lose value or become difficult to sell, while projects might fail to meet production targets or deliver promised benefits. IPX describes recovery mechanisms for some unsuccessful projects, but they do not guarantee a full refund in every case.
Next milestone
The next planned milestone is the proposed November 15 launch of IPX Exchange, IPXOS and $IPX.
