American Tower outlook for 2026 includes higher property revenue guidance and a narrower adjusted funds from operations range after the company reported third-quarter results on October 27.

American Tower outlook for 2026

The company now expects full-year property revenue of $10.785 billion to $10.865 billion and adjusted funds from operations, or AFFO, of $11.04 to $11.16 per share. These are forecasts, not completed results.

In its July outlook, American Tower projected property revenue of $10.695 billion to $10.845 billion and AFFO of $11.00 to $11.17 per share. The revised revenue range is higher at both ends, while the AFFO range has a higher lower end and a slightly lower upper end.

American Tower said the updated outlook reflected consistent growth across its global tower portfolio, data center outperformance and disciplined capital allocation.

Buyback authorization and shares

The company allocated $315 million to share repurchases. After the quarter ended, its board authorized an additional $2 billion for future repurchases; the authorization does not mean those shares have already been bought.

American Tower shares traded at $187.00 in premarket trading on October 27, down $1.45, or 0.77%.
