Volta Finance NAV stood at €243.5 million, or €6.66 per share, at the end of September 2026 after the investment company posted a net return of minus 0.4% for the month.

Key Takeaways

  • CLO equity holdings returned minus 1.8% in September, while CLO debt returned 0.4%.
  • The fund held approximately €33.4 million in cash and cash equivalents at month-end.
  • Volta purchased €7.3 million across three European single-B-rated CLO tranches.

Volta Finance NAV and portfolio returns

BNP Paribas Asset Management, Volta’s investment manager, published the September report on October 29, 2026. The fund generated approximately €19.9 million in interest proceeds over the preceding six months, equivalent to around 16% of its latest NAV on an annualised basis.

Returns differed across the portfolio: CLO equity tranches declined, while CLO debt tranches gained. The asset-class figures account for changes in market value and payments received, but exclude changes in cross-currency rates; the manager noted that some residual currency effects can nevertheless affect the aggregate portfolio value.

About 1.02% of September NAV comprised investments whose month-end values normally become available after Volta publishes its NAV. Those holdings were valued using the most recently available fund NAV or quoted price.

CLO purchases and cash holdings

During September, Volta bought the three European single-B-rated collateralised loan obligation tranches at discount margins of approximately 1,000 basis points. It also purchased three minority CLO equity positions following a decrease in loan prices.

The fund contributed its proportional share of additional equity to a CLO reset in which it was a minority equity investor, securing a 10-basis-point management fee rebate on the newly injected equity.

The manager said it was continuing to look for CLO equity opportunities while maintaining a greater allocation to mezzanine CLO tranches amid market uncertainty. Volta’s investment objectives and CLO focus include preserving capital across the credit cycle and seeking a stable stream of dividend income.
