Comfort Systems shares rose more than 7% on October 26, 2026, closing at $1,244.19 after the mechanical and electrical contractor posted third-quarter earnings and revenue above analyst expectations.

Comfort Systems shares rebound after recent declines

The advance in Comfort Systems USA, which trades on the New York Stock Exchange under FIX, came against a backdrop of a 26% decline over the past month. The closing gain marked a rebound, rather than evidence that the recent losses had been fully recovered.

The rally followed the quarterly results, but the timing alone does not establish how much the earnings beat, revenue performance or dividend announcement contributed to the buying.

Quarterly results beat forecasts as dividend rises

Comfort Systems USA’s third-quarter Form 10-Q identifies the reporting period as the quarter ended September 30, 2026. For that quarter, the company posted GAAP earnings of $13.91 per share, exceeding analyst estimates by $1.20, and revenue of $3.77 billion, beating forecasts by $370 million.

The company also announced an 11.1% increase in its quarterly dividend to $1.00 per share. The higher declared payout is separate from the earnings comparison with analyst forecasts.

Comfort Systems provides mechanical and electrical contracting services across the United States, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, piping and controls for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings.

Next milestone

The next confirmed shareholder-payment milestone is November 23, 2026, when the increased quarterly dividend is payable.
