Transformers and Rectifiers (India) plans to invest ₹1,250 crore in three new manufacturing facilities in Gujarat, with the TARIL plants expected to begin commercial operations in the first quarter of FY28.
What the TARIL plants will make
The facilities at the Chiyada complex will produce components for high-voltage transformers, including bushings and insulation products for applications up to 800 kilovolts. They will also make pressboard and insulation materials, as well as continuously transposed conductors.
The company said the plants would be housed under a wholly owned ancillary subsidiary, giving it control over manufacturing quality, technology, procurement and long-term strategic direction.
Construction and revenue outlook
Construction began in December 2025, the company said in its October 27, 2026 announcement. Once fully operational, the facilities are expected to generate approximately ₹2,000 crore in annual revenue potential and create more than 1,000 direct jobs.
Those figures are company expectations, not current revenue or completed hiring. TARIL said the investment comes as India expands power infrastructure to meet electricity demand, integrate renewable energy and modernize transmission networks.
