The Meta jurisdiction challenge in a dispute with advertising agency Blink Digital has been dismissed by the Bombay High Court, allowing the case over disabled business accounts and corporate pages to continue in India.
Why the Meta jurisdiction challenge matters
Meta argued that the dispute should be heard by courts in California, relying on contractual jurisdiction provisions. Blink Digital opposed the application and sought to pursue its claims in India.
Justice Sandeep V. Marne heard the matter. The dismissal allows the proceedings to continue before the Bombay High Court, but the underlying claims have not yet been adjudicated. The written order explaining the court’s reasons was awaited as of October 27, 2026.
Account restoration and damages sought
The dispute arose after Blink Digital’s Business Manager accounts and associated corporate pages were disabled. The agency has sought their restoration, as well as Rs 1,158 crore in damages and compensation from Meta Platforms, Inc. and Facebook India Online Services Pvt. Ltd.
The court is scheduled to hear Blink Digital’s application for interim relief on November 2, 2026, at 4 p.m.
