Mits Healthcare has handed four Kia Sonet SUVs to employees under an employee car scheme that rewards loyalty and performance. The company pays part of each vehicle’s cost and adds the monthly instalment to the recipient’s salary while they remain employed, an employee said.

Key Takeaways

  • The four vehicles are registered in the employees’ names.
  • One recipient said the company pays 30% of the vehicle cost upfront.
  • A separate draw for a fifth SUV has attracted 36 newer employees.

How the employee car scheme works

MK Bhatia, founder and chairman of Chandigarh-based MITS Group of Companies, joined the recipients at a Kia dealership for the handover, shown in videos shared by the company.

One recipient said he had worked at Mits Healthcare for five years and was selected for a car in 2026. He said the company pays 30% of the cost as a down payment and adds the monthly loan instalment to the employee’s salary for as long as the employee stays with the company.

Another employee said the scheme rewards staff who have stayed for more than five years. The vehicles are registered in recipients’ names rather than the company’s.

A separate draw for newer employees

Bhatia has also introduced a lucky draw that gives newer employees an opportunity to receive a vehicle. An employee said 36 new employees had entered the draw for a fifth Kia Sonet.

The selected winner is expected to receive the vehicle without paying monthly instalments or additional hidden costs, the employee said. No date for the draw was specified.

Previous festive vehicle awards

In October 2025, Bhatia gifted 51 vehicles to top-performing employees during Diwali. The company also gave six Nissan Magnite SUVs to employees at Christmas that year.

In a video shared in 2025, Bhatia said car recipients received Rs 2,500 a month towards personal fuel costs, with fuel used for official work paid separately. He also said the company had moved from buying vehicles in its own name to registering them directly under employees’ names.
