The MPLX distribution for the third quarter of 2026 will rise 12.5% to $1.2111 per common unit, the energy infrastructure partnership announced on October 27.
MPLX distribution payment details
The quarterly payment is up from $1.0765 per common unit for the second quarter. MPLX’s distribution announcement puts the new rate at $4.84 per unit on an annualized basis.
The distribution is payable on November 13, 2026, to common unitholders of record as of November 6. An annualized amount assumes the quarterly rate continues; future distributions have not been declared by this announcement.
Spending plans and earlier outlook
In its August second-quarter results, MPLX said it expected distribution increases of 12.5% in both 2026 and 2027. The 2027 increase was an expectation, not a declared payment.
MPLX also raised its 2026 growth capital spending outlook by $500 million to $2.9 billion, primarily reflecting faster execution of a Gulf Coast fractionation project. Management said the partnership remained positioned to deliver mid-single-digit adjusted EBITDA growth.
MPLX is a master limited partnership that owns and operates midstream energy infrastructure, including pipelines, storage facilities and natural gas processing assets.
