Bishnoi contested from the Indon Ki Dhani-II gram panchayat in Osian tehsil, where there were around 1,600 eligible voters. The source did not provide the winner’s name or vote total.
Bishnoi, who claims to predict people’s futures, is also president of a local cow shelter. He has more than two million followers across social media platforms, including more than 1.4 million on Instagram, 232,000 on Facebook and around 550,000 YouTube subscribers.
Bishnoi accepts voters’ decision
After the result was announced, Bishnoi thanked voters in his native village on his official social media accounts and accepted their decision.
He referred to the Hindi saying, “There is darkness beneath the lamp,” acknowledging the contrast between his online following and his limited support at home.
